Kofuku-ji Temple

"Kōfuku-ji Temple (Japanese: 興福寺)" is Buddhist temple of Dharma character school (法相宗, Hossō-syu). Yamashina-dera Temple (山階寺) that "Fujiwara no Fuhito (藤原不比等)" created in present Kyoto City Yamashina Ward (京都市山科区) in 669 (Asuka period, 飛鳥時代 (Asuka jidai)) is an origin of Kofuku-ji Temple. Afterwards, the temple was moved to the present place when the capital transfered the capital to "Heijo-kyo (平城京)" in 710, and the name was changed with Kofuku-ji Temple. Kofuku-ji Temple was registered in World Heritage as "Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara" in 1998.
The buildings of Kofuku-ji Temple has East Golden Hall (東金堂, Tōkon-dō), Five-story Pagoda (五重塔, Gojyū-no-tō), North octagonal Hall (北円堂, Hoku'en-dō), Three-story Pagoda (三重塔, Sanjyū-no-tō), Large bath house (大湯屋, Oyuya) and South octagonal Hall (南円堂, Nan'en-dō).
The public transportation facility to Kofuku-ji Temple are "Kintetsu railway (近鉄, Kintetsu)" or "Nara Kotsu Bus (奈良交通バス)". Kofuku-ji Temple is from the Kintetsu Nara Station to about 30 minutes on foot, from the Daibustuden Kasuga-taisha mae Bus Stop to about 10 minutes on foot.
