Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara

"Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara (Japanese: 古都奈良の文化財, Koto Nara no bunkazai)" was registered in World Heritage in 1998. The Buddhist temple, the Shinto shrine, and other place of 9 are the registration articles of World Heritage. The World Heritage are Todai-ji Temple (東大寺), Shoso-in Warehouse (正倉院), Kofuku-ji Temple (興福寺), Kasuga taisha Shinto Shrine (春日大社), Kasugayama Primeval Forest (春日山原始林), Gango-ji Temple Gokurakubo (元興寺極楽坊), Heijo Palace remains (平城宮跡), Toshodai-ji Temple (唐招提寺) and Yakushi-ji Temple (薬師寺). These are all in Nara City, Nara Prefecture.
Nara is a place with Heijō-kyō (平城京) that became Japanese capital at the Nara period (710 - 794). Heijō-kyō was modeled after Chang'an (長安), the capital of Tang Dynasty China (中国唐王朝). A Chinese civilization influences east Asia at that time dark, and Nara is called a last point in the east of the silk road. The Buddhist temple built at that time has been still left passing of 1200 years or more.
