Ryoan-ji Temple


"Ryōan-ji Temple (Japanese: 龍安寺 or 竜安寺)" is a Zen Buddhist temple and it was created by Hosokawa Katsumoto (細川勝元, He was powerful feudal lord of Muromachi Period) in 1450. Ryoan-ji Temple was registered in World Heritage as "Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto" in 1994. The viewpoint of the Ryoan-ji Temple is "Japanese rock garden (枯山水の石庭, Karesansui-no-Sekitei)".
The public transportation facility to Ryoan-ji Temple are "Kyoto City bus (京都市バス, Kyoto shi basu)" and Keifuku Electric Railroad (京福電鉄, Keifuku Dentetsu). Ryoan-ji Temple is from the JR Kyoto Station (No. 50 bus) to about 40 minutes and 10 minutes on foot, from the Kinkaku-ji Temple (No. 59 bus) to about 15 minutes, from the Ryoan-ji station, Kitano Line, Keifuku Electric Railroad to 10 minutes on foot.
